Hackathon Training

Interested in hosting a BreakBeatCode Hackathon? In this 7-video course, we will guide through the BreakBeatCode Hackathon content, and provide tips and tricks on keeping students engaged and excited to share the music they’ve created with code.

What is a BreakBeatCode Hackathon? A BreakBeatCode Hackathon is half-day virtual event offered by our BreakBeatCode team and our partner organizations. During the Hackathon, BreakBeatCode coaches will provide an introduction to coding and music production in an engaging, hands-on experience. Students will learn how to create music with code, and no prior coding knowledge or experience is required. By the end of the hackathon, students will have started to build a foundation in coding skills and music production, and they will have published their first music tracks.
