breakbeatcode club

Offering an easy way for teachers, schools, and after school programs to introduce the breakbeatcode curriculum to their students

What’s breakbeatcode club?

A breakbeatcode club provides an introduction to breakbeatcode, a culturally relevant STEAM education program that teaches coding through beat making and music production. Hosting a breakbeatcode club is an easy way for teachers, schools, and after school programs to learn and incorporate breakbeatcode into their existing curriculum. A breakbeatcode club is supported by breakbeatcode volunteers from Google and the broader community. Like everything we offer, it is free, virtual and available globally.

How to get started?

Want to get started? It’s easy. Start by signing up to bring breakbeatcode to your community. Our team will connect you with a breakbeatcode community leader who will support you all along the way, providing all of the free breakbeatcode resources available to help you complete your first club.

  • Sign up to host your own BreakBeatCode club, and we will connect you with a BreakBeatCode Community Leader.

  • A BreakBeatCode Community Leader will meet with you to discuss BreakBeatCode to make sure it is a fit for your organization. The BreakBeatCode curriculum is ideally suited for organizations who teach students ages 9 and up.

  • Your BreakBeatCode community leader will collaborate with you to build a plan for introducing BreakBeatCode to your students, including the support and resources required.

  • We will train your teachers how to teach BreakBeatCode through self-paced train-the-trainer courses, and virtual instructor-led training sessions.

  • You successfully complete your BreakBeatCode club, and your BreakBeatCode community manager works with you to gather feedback from teachers, students and coaches. We will help define a plan for ongoing support. We will work with you to create awareness in the community (through PR, social media and school district communication) to drive engagement with other teachers, schools and after-school programs.

  • We will collaborate with you to help get the word out to teachers, schools, school districts and others in your community so they can learn more about how they can bring BreakBeatCode to their students.
