You can watch the BreakBeatCode Hackathon on demand (originally aired on Friday, April 12th 10am-2pm ET).
Highlights from the Hackathon:
Impromptu rap “battle” with Supernatural, the GOAT of freestyle hip hop, and Delic, an artist engineer who boldly took the stage to flow over the beats he made with code
Over 100 amazing remixes from our new artist engineers who learned how to create music with code in less than 2 hours.
Aaron Wade, Creative Technologist at Google, showed how he worked with Lup Fiasco to create Gen AI for rappers and songwriters
The BreakBeatCode Hackathon is a free event where students ages 9 and up will learn how to create music with code using EarSketch, a free educational programming environment developed first at Georgia Tech.
By the end of the Hackathon, students created their first remixes, and their music was played during the live performance with special guest star Supernatural, the GOAT of freestyle hip hop. No prior coding knowledge or experience required.
